Bio

“I want to be the greatest NASCAR driver of all time” is what Gray Gaulding is driving towards, but his racing passion hasn’t always been in NASCAR. Gaulding who began racing at the bright young age of 3 on four-wheelers and dirt bikes developed technical skills at a young age that the average youth never learns.

After spending nearly 7 years racing on two wheels Gray hung up his leathers for a fire suit to begin his stock car career when he received two Bandolero’s for his 10th birthday. After winning 4 of the 5 races that Gray competed in through the 2008 racing season, he knew he wanted to be in NASCAR. In 2009 Gray raced in 22 races winning 13 of them, along with the Winter Heat championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Gaulding moved from the INEX Bandolero’s to the INEX Legend’s car Young Lion’s division in 2010 driving for Chase Pistone Inc. after winning 16 of the 47 races he competed in, winning the Race of Champions and National Race for Young Lions at Langley Speedway, as well as earning the Top Gun award along with the point’s championship at Concord Motorsports Park.

2011 started off on a high note for the youngster signing with Kevin Harvick Incorporated to race full time in the Pro All Stars Series. Competing in 15 super late model races and picking up a win at Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, NC crowning Gaulding the youngest winner in super late model history. Gaulding continued to race in the PASS series for Coulter Motorsports in 2012 bringing Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on board as a full-time sponsor. Gray competed in 18 super late model races picking up a win along with 5 top-5’s, and 8 top-10’s.

Gray Gaulding competed full time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in 2013, picking up one win, five top-5’s, and eleven top-10’s. Gaulding also set fast time at both Richmond International Raceway (making Gray Gaulding the youngest driver to qualify on the pole in KNPSE) and Kern County Raceway Park (making Gaulding the youngest driver to qualify on the pole in KNPSW). Gaulding also became the youngest driver to win a NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race when he won at Phoenix International Raceway, November of 2013.

2014 starts a new chapter in Gaulding’s racing career, with a new team in NTS Motorsports, new nameplate with Chevrolet, and a new series running nine (9) races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Gaulding will also compete in his second season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series chasing after the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Championship Title.
