NEW POLARIZED SLAY FROM WILEY X® EYEWEAR IS READY FOR ACTION
New Active Series Model Built for Comfort, Protection and a Secure Fit During Every Outdoor Activity
Leading sunglass manufacturer Wiley X® Eyewear now offers its popular Slay™ Active Series model with Polarized Smoke Grey Lenses and Gloss
Black frames, providing outdoor enthusiasts with cool-looking comfort and serious protection that’s more than a match for any activity.
Like all Wiley X Active Series models, the Slay is perfect for activities that work up a sweat — from rock climbing and mountain biking to
poling a flats skiff across a tropical flat. With a wrap-around frame that features rubberized nose and temple grips, the Slay provides a secure,
comfortable fit that stays in place through the most rigorous activities. At the same time, Wiley X’s advanced Filter 8™ polarized lenses
eliminate reflective glare, improve visual contrast and protect the wearer’s eyes against 100-percent of harmful UV rays. This unique 8-layer
lens technology features advanced scratch resistant, hydrophobic and anti-reflective coatings to ensure superior vision and performance in all environments.
Speaking of protection, the new Slay exceeds stringent ANSI Z87.1-2003 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Certification standards, providing wearers
with advanced protection on the court, in the field or on the water. To earn this rating, Wiley X frames and lenses must withstand repeated strikes
from a .25-caliber projectile fired at 150 fps, as well as the impact of a pointed, 1.1-lb. projectile dropped from a height of 50 inches. Wiley X is
the only premium sunglass brand with this impressive rating on every pair of glasses it makes. It’s the reason Wiley X has long been a leading provider
of performance protective eyewear to elite U.S. military Special Forces units in action worldwide.
The Wiley X Slay is designed for Medium to Large head sizes and is RX ready, making it an ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts who need prescription
eyewear. It comes complete with a black zippered case, cleaning cloth and unique leash cord that keeps the Wiley X Slay firmly but comfortably on the
wearer’s face.

WILEY X® SUPPORTS PARALYZED VETERANS AS THEY CAST AND BLAST
THEIR WAY THROUGH A COMPETITIVE 2011 SEASON
Veteran-Owned Company Sponsors PVA National Trapshoot Circuit and PVA Bass Tour
Wiley X® Eyewear has announced its 2011 sponsorship of two important programs
that allow paralyzed veterans to compete against each other and other outdoor
sportsmen in exciting shooting and bass fishing events around the country.
Wiley X will be providing thousands of dollars worth of its performance protective
sunglasses to both the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) National Trapshoot
Circuit and the PVA National Bass Tour. Wiley X glasses will be featured prizes at
prominent PVA shooting and bass fishing events throughout the 2011 season.
In PVA National Trapshoot Circuit events, shooters with disabilities and able-bodied
shooters compete as equals in the fun and competitive sport of trapshooting—
shooting at clay targets hurled upwards to simulate the flight of a game bird. This
year's schedule of events around the country marks the 15th annual circuit for this exciting and tightly competitive
event. Among the other notable sponsors for this unique series of shooting competitions are Cabela's, Winchester
Ammo, SKB Shotguns and Leupold Optics.
Wiley X will be providing winners, staff, directors and volunteers for the PVA National Trapshoot Circuit with its new
Wiley X Guard and Wiley X Saber Advanced tactical eyewear. Wiley X will also be part of the prize package
recognition for the season's high-scoring overall shooter, high-scoring wheelchair shooter, and the winner of the
Chad Crowley Award, for the highest overall PVA Voting member who is a veteran.
Both the Wiley X Guard and Wiley X Saber Advanced combine unparalleled protection with the ability to quickly
change lenses to match shooting conditions. This advanced eyewear meets stringent MIL-PRF-31013 military
ballistic standards (U.S. Military Combat Eye Protection) as well as ANSI Z87.1-2003 high impact certification
(OSHA Occupational Eye Protection). In addition to advanced impact protection, Wiley X's lenses also provide
100% UVA and UVB protection. This level of performance and protection has made Wiley X a leading supplier of
eyewear to elite military units around the globe. Because Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand that certifies its
entire line to exceed ANSI Z87 standards for safety, every pair of Wiley X glasses provides the same high standard
of protection.
Wiley X will also be joining the likes of organizations like B.A.S.S., Bass Pro Shops, Minn Kota, Tracker Boats and
Humminbird in its sponsorship of the PVA National Bass Tour. Wiley X will provide its polarized protective eyewear
for tournament staff, directors and volunteers, as well as tournament winning anglers and the overall Angler of the
Year. The PVA Tour consists of seven tournaments, each consisting of an Open/Team competition for anglers who
wish to compete from a boat and a Bank Competition for anglers who prefer to fish from shore.
Wiley X polarized sunglasses provide the same level of protection found in its tactical eyewear, protecting anglers
against everything from airborne debris and low-hanging limbs to flying lures. The advanced fish-spotting
performance of these glasses have made Wiley X the choice of many top professional anglers, including Bassmaster
Classic champion Skeet Reese and 2010 Angler of the Year runner-up Edwin Evers.
“As a veteran owned company, we're very proud to support Paralyzed Veterans of America and all of its efforts,” said
Wiley X President of Sales Myles Freeman, Jr. “Shooting and fishing are two great American pastimes and an
excellent way for people to enjoy the great outdoors. These events put on by PVA provide disabled veterans and
others with a chance to share and enjoy these life-affirming activities, all in the spirit of healthy competition. We're
honored to present these brave sportsmen and event organizers with our products,” added Freeman.

WILEY X® PRO ANGLER EDWIN EVERS USES HIS EYES, INGENUITY AND PRUNING SHEARS
TO WIN BASSMASTER ELITE POWER POLE CITRUS SLAM ON ST. JOHN'S RIVER
77-1 4-Day Total Earns Evers $100,000, Berth in 2012 Bassmaster Classic and
Fourth Position in Angler of the Year Race
Wiley X® Eyewear sponsored angler Edwin Evers proved why he is one of the
most resourceful pros on the Bassmaster Elite Tournament trail, relying on his
Wiley X sunglasses, a go-for-it attitude and some unusual “gardening” skills to
take First Place in the recent Power Pole Citrus Slam tournament on the
St. John's River.
Evers won this second Bassmaster Elite Tournament of 2011 in Palatka, Florida,
bringing in a four-day total of 77 pounds, 1 ounce — including an 8-lb, 3-oz.
monster — or “mule” as Evers called it —to put him over the top on the final day.
Winning this event earned Evers $100,000 in Top Prize money, an automatic berth
in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic and moved him up to fourth in the early 2011
Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings. Evers finished 2nd in the
Angler of the Year race last year; he is already in strong position and looking
forward to a productive season ahead with many more top finishes.
Those familiar with Evers shouldn't be surprised that he sight-fished his way up the standings, going from 20th Place
on Day 1, to 4th Place on Day 2, to 2nd Place on Day 3, before winning it all with his final weigh-in of 19 pounds even.
It was also no surprise that his Wiley X sunglasses provided Evers with the superior vision and protection he needed
to battle the fish and the elements. What did surprise people were the lengths to which Evers went to reach his
winning limit and the ingenuity he showed in catching them.
Evers' success came from hunting the extreme shallow waters of
Salt Creek off the main river, racing across a 100-yard flat, then
push-polling his Nitro bass boat though the “skinny” water like a
flats skiff to get way back where the big bass were hiding. Evers
even brought along a long-handled tree trimmer, which he used to
trim the overhanging branches of a willow tree, allowing him to
find a pair of bass that were hanging out underneath. He caught
them both.
Success in this style of fishing requires the ability to read the subtle contours of the bottom, decipher vegetation and
bottom composition, and spot fish before they spot you. Evers' polarized Wiley X glasses let him fish the shallows
effectively, while giving him the confidence to poke his boat, his rod and his face into thick brush to pursue bass
others wouldn't even try to catch.
With the same advanced Wiley X technology provided to elite military units around the globe, these glasses provide
unparalleled protection against airborne debris, low-hanging limbs or even flying hooks and lures. Wiley X is the only
premium sunglass brand with ANSI-Z87.1-2003 High Velocity and Mass Impact Protection rating on every pair of
glasses it manufactures. This makes Wiley X Eyewear an indispensable tool for serious anglers, whether they live to
fish or make their living on the water.

WILEY X® SHOWS A FLARE™ FOR FISHING
New Active Series™ Model Features Attractive Matte Black Frames
With Polarized Emerald Mirror Lenses
Wiley X® Eyewear has announced a new Active Series™ model
sure to help anglers spot the fish — and get plenty of looks,
themselves. Wiley X's new Flare™ features a stylish matte black
frame matched with the company's advanced Filter 8™ polarized
Emerald Mirror lenses, resulting in a brilliant combination for
serious fresh and saltwater fishermen.
Whatever fish you're pursuing and whatever style of angling you enjoy, Wiley X's Flare can help you do it more
effectively. These shatterproof Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses feature 100% polarization and 100% protection
against harmful UV rays, for superior glare-cutting performance and all-day eye comfort. Wiley X's Emerald Mirror
finish is combined with an underlying Amber tint allowing 13% light transmission. This combination is ideal for the
entire spectrum of light conditions encountered while fishing — from the low light of morning and evening to the full
brightness of midday. This tint enhances color contrasts so fishermen can "read the water" and better distinguish
between the bottom, structure and fish. The Wiley X Flare not only looks sharp, it gives tournament anglers and
professional guides a winning edge over the competition.
As a leading provider of performance eyewear for elite military forces for more than 25 years, Wiley X knows a thing
or two about protection. The new Wiley X Flare carries on this tradition with High Velocity Protection (HVP™) against
the dangers of boating and fishing. With nearly indestructible frames and ANSI Z87.1-2003 certified lenses, these
sunglasses provide OSHA-grade industrial safety and impact protection against everything from low hanging limbs to
airborne debris to flying hooks, sinkers and lures. In fact, Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer
whose entire line is certified to exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity and high mass impact plus optical
performance standards.
This level of protection and performance has made Wiley X Eyewear the choice of professional anglers like
Bassmaster Classic Champion Skeet Reese, Stephen Browning and Edwin Evers, top NASCAR drivers and other
athletes who need to perform under extreme conditions.
The Wiley X Flare's stylish frame is ideally suited for small to medium-sized faces and features a soft, non-slip
rubberized nosepiece and temples for a comfortable, secure fit that stays put all day — even when you're bouncing
across the waves. Manufacturer's suggested retail price is $130 with hard zippered case, lanyard, and lens cleaning
cloth. The Wiley X Flare is also RX ready, making it ideal for anglers who require prescription eyewear.

WILEY X® PRO FISHING TEAM HITS THE WATER IN 2011 —
CATCH'EM IF YOU CAN
As Company Celebrates its 25th Anniversary, Wiley X Eyewear Helps Top Anglers
See Their Way to Victory
The world's best competitive anglers recognize that superior vision is the most
important asset when it comes to catching fish. It is also one that is constantly
subjected to danger, from glaring UV rays, airborne debris, low-hanging limbs and
even flying hooks, weights and lures.
Protection from dangers like these is why Wiley X sunglasses grace the faces of
some of the biggest names in fishing, like Skeet Reese — 2009 Bassmaster
Classic champion and winner of more than $3 million in career earnings. Reese,
who has his own Wiley X Signature Series Xcess™ glasses, outperformed the
majority of the world-class 2011 Bassmaster Classic field with a 14th place finish.
“It's a long season and the most important thing is consistency,” said Reese.
“Wiley X's unique combination of Polarized Amber lenses with an Emerald Mirror
finish helps me see bottom contour, underwater vegetation and even cruising fish.
This gives me a huge advantage on any body of water,” added Reese.
Edwin Evers is another perennial B.A.S.S. favorite who's been burning up the water thanks to his Wiley X sunglasses.
Evers finished last season in 2nd Place for the 2010 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year Award, finishing
ahead of everybody but angling all-star Kevin Van Dam. Reese was close behind Evers in the Angler of the Year
race, making for an impressive 2-3 finish for Wiley X anglers in 2010. Both Evers and Reese are poised to build on
last year's success and make big waves in the bass fishing world during the upcoming 2011 tournament season.
Wiley X's impressive team of top sponsored bass pros include seven-time Classic participant Stephen Browning and
fan favorites Timmy Horton, Jared Lintner and Jeremy Starks. All of these pros rely on advanced Wiley X features
like 100% polarization and 100% protection against the sun's harmful rays, every time they hit the water. In addition,
Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer whose entire line is certified to exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 high
velocity and high mass impact plus optical performance standards. Thanks to this OSHA-grade industrial eye
protection, these glasses are more than a match for anything Mother Nature — or a hard day of tournament fishing —
can throw their way.
Wiley X has shown its winning ways on the ocean, as well, thanks to features like advanced 8-layer polarized lenses
and unique lens color/tint combinations. Wiley X sunglasses not only eliminate glare on the ocean, they improve
underwater color contrast to help anglers spot shoals of bait offshore, track tarpon or permit across the flats or watch
a billfish coming into the trolling spread. Like in all types of fishing, improved vision leads to angling success on the
open ocean, sheltered bays or remote backwaters.
This visual advantage is why top saltwater fishing personality Mark Davis of the Outdoor Channel's popular show
BigWater Adventures uses Wiley X to get him on the fish. So do top professional guides around the country, including
Floridians Chris O'Neil and Ryan Rowen and Oregon guide John Garrett.

NEW WILEY X® HYDRO™ SUNGLASSES DELIVER SUPERIOR GLARE-CUTTING
PERFORMANCE, BOLD LOOKS AND HIGH VELOCITY PROTECTION FOR ANGLERS
Wiley X® Inc. has added the new Hydro™ to its successful Street Series™ collection of premium performance sunglasses — and
as its name implies, this new model is ideal for fishing, boating and any outdoor activities on the water.
Wiley X’s model SSHYD04 Hydro™ combines a bold-looking Gloss Black frame with high-performance Polarized Smoke Green lenses engineered
with Wiley X’s advanced Filter 8™ lens technology. These lenses provide maximum glare reduction without distorting colors. This makes the
Wiley X® Hydro™ an ideal choice for all-day eye comfort and superior “fishing vision” under a full range of light and weather conditions.
The Wiley X® Hydro™ helps tournament anglers or “weekend warriors” read the water and clearly see important structures such as grass beds,
rock piles or dock pilings. The glare-cutting performance of these polarized lenses also helps anglers pick out suspended fish, pinpoint
bedding bass and locate schools of shad or other baitfish. In saltwater fishing situations, the Wiley X® Hydro™ helps fishermen spot stealthy
inshore gamefish cruising across the flats or get a bead on bluewater billfish rising behind the jigs.
With its fashion-forward cool frame design, the new Wiley X® Hydro™ is just as appropriate on the town or in the boardroom as it is on the boat.
The Wiley X Hydro’s wrap-around frame design provides full facial coverage and features thick temples accented with distinctive Wiley X logos
and chrome trim. Designed for Medium to Large sized faces, the Wiley X® Hydro™ delivers good looks and great performance for a wide range of anglers
and watersports enthusiasts. The Wiley X® Hydro™ is also Rx ready, making it an ideal choice for anglers and boaters who require prescription lenses.
Wiley X sunglasses are known worldwide for their superior, battlefield-proven protection — and the new Wiley X® Hydro™ is no exception.
The Wiley X Hydro’s advanced Triloid nylon frame is lightweight and comfortable, yet is flame resistant and practically indestructible.
Wiley X’s High Velocity Protection (HVP™) Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses provide anglers with the ultimate in protection against the dangers
of fishing, including low-hanging branches, errant backcasts or flying lures. In fact, Wiley X® is the only premium sunglass manufacturer
that has official ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity and high mass impact standards certification on its entire product line

WILEY X® INC. PRO FISHING TEAM DEMONSTRATES ANGLING CONSISTENCY,
SUPERIOR FISHING VISION THROUGHOUT 2010 SEASON
Top Wiley X Pros Edwin Evers and Skeet Reese Rely on Wiley X's Protection and Visual
Acuity, Finish 2nd and 3rd in Tight Race for 2010 Toyota Tundra Angler of the Year
It takes a lot of angling skill, determination and energy just to make
it to the end of the season in the tough sport that is professional
bass fishing — much less finish among the best in the business. It
also takes serious eye protection and a superior ability to “read the
water” under a full range of conditions and environments. This is
precisely why members of Wiley X's team of professional anglers
are consistent, proven winners season after season.
The 2010 professional bass fishing season was fiercely
competitive, with the battle for Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of
the Year going right down to the wire. At the end of the 2010 Bassmaster Elite Series Postseason — which wrapped
up July 31 in the Montgomery, Alabama River Region — Wiley X fishing pros Edwin Evers and Skeet Reese finished
in Second and Third Place, respectively, in the final Angler of the Year standings. This powerful bass-angling tandem
finished the 2010 regular season with Reese in the #1 slot and Evers #2 heading into the Elite Series Toyota Trucks
Championship Week, a series of “playoff” fishing tournaments to crown the Angler of the Year from among the top 12
bass fishermen in the world. This year was particularly impressive for Reese, having finished a record-setting regular
season on the Bassmaster Trail with the highest points total in Elite Series history — 6 top 5 finishes and two wins.
Reese also finished 2010 as #1 in BassFan.com's World Ranking of professional bass anglers (including both
Bassmaster and FLW tournament pros). This season also marked the successful introduction of Wiley X's first “pro
athlete signature” model, the Skeet Reese Signature Model Xcess. This pair of fishing sunglasses has become
coveted by anglers across the United States and the world, due in
large part to Reese's championship reputation and angling exploits.
While the final result wasn't what these ultra-competitive athletes
had hoped for, the significance of their achievement cannot be
denied. And the same can be said for Wiley X. To have two anglers
qualify for the playoffs — much less end the regular season as the
#1 and #2 seeds — speaks volumes about the quality of Wiley X's polarized protective eyewear. Both of these top anglers
have come to rely on the OSHA-grade eye protection Wiley X
provides against flying hooks and heavy jigs, as well the ability to see the fish and bottom structure in ever-changing
conditions on the water. In fact, Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer that has official ANSIZ87.1-2003
high velocity and high mass impact standards certification on its entire product line.
These anglers weren't the only top fishing pros benefitting from the protection and “fishing vision” of Wiley X.
Renowned pro anglers Stephen Browning and Boyd Duckett ended the 2010 Bassmasters regular season in the
Top 25 — Browning at #21 and Duckett at #25. As members of the Wiley X Fishing Team, Browning and Duckett
have long relied on Wiley X to help them win and make the hard life of professional bass fishing easier on their eyes.
Wiley X also helped top Bassmaster pros Jared Lintner and Tim Horton finish the regular season at #38 and #51,
respectively, no small feat given the caliber of competition, the tough schedule and the challenge of fishing different
waters around the country. Wiley X Pro Jeremy Starks finished the year among the world's Top 100 bass anglers.
“Having four members of our Pro Fishing Team finish the 2010 regular season in the Top 25 — and all seven
members in the Top 100 — is an impressive achievement,” said Wiley X Inc. President Myles Freeman, Jr.
“We're very proud of all the anglers we work with and the role our product plays in their success on the water,”
added Freeman.
As a winner of the 2009 Bassmaster Classic and former Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year, Reese knows
the importance of protecting his eyes throughout a full season of hard days on the water. This is why he and other
members of the Wiley X Pro Fishing Team trust their vision to the company that supplies protective eyewear to U.S.
armed forces in action around the world. They also recognize the role Wiley X's quality polarized lenses play in many
of the most successful bass fishing techniques. The ability to eliminate glare, see suspended fish and read bottom
contour is critical when fishing beds, pitching lures under docks and overhangs, or working submerged weedlines.
After coming so close to ultimate victory in 2010, Evers, Reese and the rest of the Wiley X Pro Fishing Team will be
extra motivated to succeed next season. They'll have their eyes on the future and Wiley X to protect them every step
of the way.

WILEY X® INTRODUCES NEW ROUT™ CLIMATE CONTROL™ SUNGLASSES FOR FRESH AND SALTWATER FISHING
New Design Keeps Eyes Comfortable and Protected on the Water, Provides Superior Glare-Cutting Performance to Find Fish
Performance eyewear innovator Wiley X®, Inc. has introduced its new
Rout™ sunglasses — news that has fresh and saltwater anglers
excited and fish everywhere nervous.
The new Wiley X Rout is ideal for a wide range of angling pursuits,
whether it's casting a fly to rising trout, going for the glory in a bass
tournament, stalking the flats for permit or battling bluewater big
game. Like all Climate Control™ models, the Rout features Wiley X's patented Facial Cavity Seal™ for superior
vision and comfort in the most challenging environments. Made from soft, removable foam, this feature creates a
climate controlled “safe zone” for your eyes, protecting against “dry eye,” wind, dust, flying insects and reflected glare.
Wiley X's High Velocity Protection (HVP™) shields anglers' eyes against anything Mother Nature throws their way —
even when flying across the water at highway speeds.
The Wiley X Rout's lightweight, virtually indestructible frame is ideal for anglers with medium- to large-sized heads.
The boldly styled gloss black frames are perfectly complimented in looks and performance by Wiley X's advanced
Filter 8™ polarized Emerald Mirror lenses. These ANSI Z87.1-2003 certified lenses provide 100% polarization and
100% protection against harmful UV rays. The result is superior visual acuity with OSHA-grade safety and impact
protection against the many dangers of fishing, including flying hooks, sinkers and heavy jigs.
These lenses combine an attractive Emerald Green Mirror finish with an underlying Amber tint that allows 13-percent
light transmission—not too dark for early morning or too light for the brightest sunlight, either. This unique
combination provides fishermen with a “high-definition” effect that makes underwater targets more distinct. These
lenses enhance color contrast so anglers can better distinguish between the bottom, vegetation, and fish. This
combination gives anglers the winning edge, whether they're spotting bedding bass, casting to rising trout or
tracking bonefish across a grass flat.
Like all models in the Wiley X Climate Control series, the new Wiley X Rout is Rx ready, making it ideal for anglers
who require prescription lenses.

WILEY X® LAUNCHES XCESS™ SKEET REESE SIGNATURE SUNGLASSES
Bold Styling, High Velocity Protection and Superior Fishing Vision Make This Newest Design
The Choice of a Champion
Visionary eyewear manufacturer Wiley X®, Inc. has teamed with
world champion angler Skeet Reese to develop a bold new
sunglass design that has other anglers staring and the fish running
scared. New for 2010, Wiley X's Skeet Reese Signature Xcess™
sunglasses feature eye-catching styling, advanced Filter 8™
polarized lense technology and the same shatterproof High
Velocity Protection (HVP™) that protects the eyes of U.S. armed
forces on the battlefield.
“When I put on my new Xcess glasses and hit the lake, fish can swim, but they can't hide,” said Reese, 2009
Bassmaster Classic champion and winner of more than $2.1 million in career earnings. “The unique combination
of Polarized Amber lenses with an Emerald Mirror finish has played an important role in every event this season.
These glasses help me clearly see irregularities in the bottom, underwater vegetation and fish as they cruise along
the shoreline. The more fish and fish-holding structure you can identify, the more fish you're going to catch on any
body of water. It's also important for me to look good on the victory stand, which is another reason I love the new
Xcess. I've gotten a lot of positive comments from anglers and fans across the country, which feels great,”
added Reese.
Wiley X's new Xcess is ideal for any style of angling, whether flyfishing a Gold
Medal river, throwing plugs for tarpon or battling billfish offshore. The unique
wrap-around frame style provides full facial coverage with a comfortable, yet
secure fit. With 100% polarization and 100% protection from the sun's harmful
rays, the Xcess keeps anglers' eyes comfortable and protected through a full day
on the water. Like all Wiley X models, the Xcess meets the ANSI Z87.1-2003
certification, providing OSHA-grade safety and impact protection — important
when racing across the water or flinging heavy, hook-laden lures. The new
Wiley X Xcess is RX ready, making it ideal for anglers who require
prescription lenses.
The new Xcess was designed for form and function, with special wide temples that help block sunlight and reflected
glare. This not only improves eye comfort, it provides superior underwater vision. This bold design features a glossblack
frame, metallic temple accents with a unique “riveted” appearance and distinctive WX logos in Reese's
trademark yellow color. A yellow and white Skeet Reese signature/angler logo graces the inside temple.

WIN AT BLUE RIDGE BRAWL HAS WILEY X® ANGLER SKEET REESE LEADING 2010 TOYOTA TUNDRA BASSMASTER ANGLER OF THE YEAR STANDINGS
New Wiley X Xcess™ Skeet Reese Signature Series Sunglasses Play Important Role
in Angling Success
Wiley X® sponsored angler Skeet Reese took top honors at the
recent Bassmaster Elite Series Blue Ridge Brawl, earning a
$101,000 paycheck and vaulting to the top of the 2010 Toyota
Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year Standings with 885 points.
California native Reese didn't just win this event at Smith Mountain
Lake, Virginia, he dominated it — crushing the next closest
competition by almost 15 pounds. A model of consistency, Reese
weighed in more than 17 pounds of bass each of the fishing days.
With three of the eight 2010 Bassmaster Elite Series Tournaments in the books, Reese has performed with solid
consistency. Thanks in part to the new Wiley X Xcess™ polarized sunglasses that bear his name, Reese has kicked
off his 2010 campaign by finishing 2nd at the Duel in the Delta (missing a win by only one ounce!), taking 5th Place at
the Golden State Shootout at Clear Lake, California, and literally running away from the whole field at Virginia's Blue
Ridge Brawl.
“I burned through a ton of water racing all over the lake,” Reese said. “My Signature Series glasses are built with the
same High Velocity Protection (HVP™) as those Wiley X provides to the U.S. military. So I know they'll protect my
eyes against the many dangers of fishing — whether I'm ripping across the water at 70 mph or pulling a heavy
crankbait out of cover. In addition, the combination of Polarized Amber lenses with an Emerald Mirror Finish has
proven very effective in helping me read the bottom, spot
vegetation and locate cruising, bedding or hiding fish. I'm looking
forward to wearing these versatile glasses as I fish my way
across the country in pursuit of another Angler of the Year title,”
added Reese.
Reese isn't the only member of the Wiley X Pro Fishing Team off
to a great start in 2010. Oklahoma native Edwin Evers is
currently in 4th Place in the Angler of the Year Standings and is
within four points of the third place fisherman.

WILEY X® EYEWEAR KEEPS AMERICA'S BEST ANGLERS ON THE FISH AND AHEAD OF THE PACK IN 2010
In Freshwater or Salt, Top Fishing Pros See Their Way to Success With Wiley X
Selecting the right vision protection is just as critical as choosing
the right lure, line, rod/reel system or presentation. This is why
the members of the elite 2010 Wiley X® Eyewear Fishing Team
turn to the only premium performance sunglass company whose
full line meets the ANSI Z87.1-2003 certification for safety. Worldclass
anglers like 2009 Bassmaster Classic champion Skeet
Reese, 2007 Classic winner Boyd Duckett or 2010 Classic finalist
Stephen Browning trust Wiley X's innovative eyewear to protect
their vision on the water and give them an important edge over
the competition.
When these and other Wiley X pros are competing against each other (and the rest of the field) in a tournament, one
may be ripping a crankbait, another pitching a jig and another working a topwater bait. There's one part of fishing,
however, where they all see things the same — through Wiley X lenses. With 100% polarization and 100% protection
from the sun's harmful UV rays, Wiley X sunglasses provide these champion anglers with clear, comfortable vision
from blast-off to weigh-in. Wiley works with its professional angling partners to develop specialized lens technologies
— such as its unique 8-Layer Polarized Blue Mirror/Green Tint — to increase
contrast between varying shades of green water or submerged vegetation. This
improved ability to “read the bottom” and spot bass relating to weedbeds and
structure is a big advantage for anglers looking to pick a limit on a tough day.
And this holds true whether you're out to win it all at the Classic or just earn
bragging rights with your buddies.
“Being able to read the bottom contour and spot fish as they relate to weedbeds,
docks or any type of structure is critical to my style of fishing,” said Californian
Skeet Reese, one of the world's top B.A.S.S. performers with 11 Bassmaster
Classics under his belt and career winnings of more than $2.1 million. Reese's
recent angling accomplishments include winning the 2009 Bassmaster Classic
and finishing 2nd in the hotly contested 2009 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster
Angler of the Year race. “I make my living with my eyes, as much as with my rod and reel, so I was especially
impressed by Wiley X's advanced level of protection,” added Reese. Wiley X is a leading provider of protective
eyewear to U.S. military forces in action around the world. The OSHA-grade occupational eye protection found in
every pair of shatterproof Wiley X sunglasses is ideal for protecting Reese and other anglers against the many
hazards encountered while fishing — from airborne debris to low-hanging limbs to flying, hook-laden lures.
The high-velocity protection, visual acuity and all-day comfort provided by Wiley X sunglasses play an important role
in the success of other top anglers, as well. Alabama native and perennial B.A.S.S. favorite Boyd Duckett credits
Wiley X in part for his amazing angling consistency. As 2007 Classic champion, Duckett was among the favorites
as he fished in his fourth consecutive Classic in 2010. Unfortunately, engine failure on Day 1 virtually eliminated him
from contention. Duckett also holds the record as single-season B.A.S.S. earnings leader, reeling in $862,000 over
one campaign.
Wiley X sunglasses also helped Stephen Browning finish in the top 25 in the 2010 Bassmaster Classic, his sixth trip
to bass fishing's “Big Show.” The ability to fish hard all day without eyestrain and read the water under constantly
changing conditions has helped Browning achieve some impressive career stats, including 21 Top 10 finishes.
The 2010 Wiley X Pro Fishing Team includes other top anglers who recognize the importance of seeing better and
fishing safer. Top B.A.S.S. anglers like Timmy Horton, Edwin Evers, Jared Lintner and Jeremy Starks make Wiley X
an important part of their game plan as they battle their way up the B.A.S.S. standings against the toughest
competition in the world.
Wiley X Eyewear is a key to success for some of the world's best saltwater anglers, as well. Fishing personalities like
Mark Davis of the Outdoor Channel's leading television show BigWater Adventures and IFA Redfish Tour “hotshot”
Joe Crosby both rely on Wiley X for superior protection and the visual edge that helps them catch more fish. So do
top professional guides like Floridians Chris O'Neil and Ryan Rowen, who recently guided an angler to an IGFA line
class World Record hammerhead shark, or Oregon guide John Garrett, recently featured on ESPN2's “World's
Greatest Fishing Show” catching giant sturgeon with fishing legends Mark Zona and Tommy Sanders.
Top saltwater anglers know that popular Wiley X's advance lens technology — such the polarized Emerald Green
Mirror/Amber lenses available in several popular Wiley X models — gives fishermen the power of high-definition
vision. With its 13-percent light transmission, this lens design enhances underwater color contrast, helping anglers
read the bottom, see shoals of offshore baitfish or track the shapes of predatory gamefish as they cruise over
the flats.
“We are very proud of each and every one of these anglers,” said Wiley X Eyewear President of Sales
Myles Freeman, Jr. “Whether guides or tournament pros, they've proven themselves as leaders in what is one of the
toughest, most competitive sports out there. We look at these top anglers as partners. We provide them with the
protection and superior vision they need to excel. They provide us with input that helps us continually enhance and
improve our advanced technology,” added Freeman.

EVERS EXCELS IN OVERTIME TO TAKE BASSMASTER CENTRAL OPEN EVENT
MORGAN CITY, La. – Mark Smith of West Monroe, La., worried about putting together a limit Sunday after learning he would be fishing an extra day against Bassmaster Elite Series pro Edwin Evers. The two anglers weighed in identical weights of 35 pounds, 9 ounces and to settle the competition, both moved on to the additional day of fishing.
Those worries became reality when Smith was only able to compile 10 pounds, 8 ounces, while Evers brought in 14-7.
“I only caught six fish today,” Smith lamented, noting the conditions caused the few fish left in his area to spread out. “I caught my fifth (weigh) fish with five minutes left to fish.”
Evers, on the other hand, boated the heaviest sack of the tournament by making a more than 2-hour run east and working his lures in and around vegetation.
“In the mornings the fish were roaming on the outsides of that grass, and I’d catch them on a spinner bait,” he said. “But my better fish came from undercut banks with vegetation.”
Once the bite on the Bass Pro Shops Lazer Eye spinner bait turned off – usually less than an hour after he started fishing – Evers began punching water hyacinths on the undercut banks with a combination of a Yum Money Craw under a 1-ounce weight and a Yum Craw Papi topped with a 3/16-ounce weight.
The key to the entire tournament for Evers, however, came less than an hour into the first day of competition.
“I abandoned an area where I really felt I would catch fish, and moved on and really went looking,” he said. “That’s when I found this area I won the tournament in.”
The area, which he refused to identify because it’s a potential target for the 2011 Bassmaster Classic set for New Orleans, was one he had seen in practice but never fished.
“I saw it and knew it looked good, but I didn’t fish it until the first day of competition,” Evers said. “I just figured, ‘I’ll give it 15 minutes and see what happens.’ It paid off.”
Even though the veteran pro was confident he had the winning weight, Evers kept his fingers crossed on the long run back to the landing.
“I knew if I break down I have to get in on my own,” he said. “There were no other competitors to pick me up. That was my main concern.”
The win marked Evers’ fifth Bassmaster win. With the victory, Evers earned more than $32,000.
“You just need to cherish each one,” he said. “They’re so hard to come by.”

NEW REIGN™ SUNGLASSES FROM WILEY X® EYEWEAR KEEPS TOURNAMENT PROS
AND WEEKEND WARRIORS COMFORTABLY AHEAD OF THE COMPETITION
New Men's Street Series™ Model Combines Superior Protection and Advanced Polarized Performance With Stylish Good Looks
Wiley X® Eyewear has introduced a sleek new model to its popular Street Series™ family, sure to “catch on” with fresh and saltwater anglers across America.
With its distinctive Polarized Silver Flash Lenses and stylish Gloss Black Frame, Wiley X's new Reign™ Model SSREI01 combines superior fishing vision on the water with unparalleled good looks on the victory stand. Wiley X's eight-layer Filter 8™ lens technology provides 99.9% polarization with 100% percent protection from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. This technology helps anglers “read the water,” so they can pinpoint fish-holding structure and bottom contour, find schools of baitfish or clearly see dolphin, tuna and other offshore gamefish hiding under weedlines and kelp paddies. These advanced lenses also eliminate reflected glare for safer navigation, reduce eyestrain and keep the angler's eyes comfortable during a long, full day on the water.
The Wiley X Reign's wrap-around frame is designed to be lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear, yet it fits securely enough to stay in place when racing across the waves. In keeping with Wiley X Eyewear's military tradition, this practically indestructible frame exceeds ANSI-Z87.1-2003 High Velocity Impact standards. And Wiley X's High Velocity Protection (HVP™) Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses protect the angler's eyes against airborne debris, flying sinkers or heavy, hook-laden lures.
There is simply no better vision protection for an angler's most important and irreplaceable tool — his vision. It's little wonder that top anglers such as Mark Davis, host of award-winning saltwater TV show Big Water Adventures, and bass pros like 2009 Bassmasters Classic Champion Skeet Reese, 2007 Classic Champion Boyd Duckett, Jared Lintner, Edwin Evers and others, all depend on Wiley X Eyewear to protect their eyes and keep them on top of their game.

NEW WILEY X® EYEWEAR P-17™ WITH POLARIZED GREEN MIRROR LENSES
ENGINEERED TO MAKE ANGLERS COMFORTABLE — AND FISH NERVOUS
Wiley X® Eyewear has introduced new sunglasses engineered to give fresh
and saltwater anglers everything they need — a comfortable yet secure fit,
serious eye protection and the glare-cutting ability to read the water like a
book. This performance is a key reason why top professional anglers —
including 2009 Bassmasters Classic winner Skeet Reese — depend on
Wiley X Eyewear to keep them on top of the fish and ahead of the pack.
The “focal point” of these new fishing glasses is Wiley X’s Filter 8™ proprietary polarized lens technology, combining
99.9-percent glare-cutting polarization with 100-percent UV protection for the ultimate in visual clarity and contrast.
These lenses combine an attractive Emerald Green Mirror finish with an underlying Amber tint that allows 13-percent
light transmission. This unique combination provides fisherman with a “high-definition” effect that makes underwater
targets more distinct. These lenses enhance color contrast so anglers can better see bottom contour and
composition, zero in on fish-holding structure and sight individual fish. Whether you’re searching for bedding bass,
cruising redfish or a shoal of baitfish, Wiley X’s P-17GM™ will give you a clear advantage and help you find what
you’re looking for.
The Wiley X P-17GM features a sleek, lightweight new frame with a non-slip rubberized nosepiece and temple gloves.
As a result, these glasses fit comfortably and remain securely in place, even during active fishing in a
“wet and wild” environment. And anglers can be secure in the knowledge they have the most advanced protection
against errant hooks, lures and sinkers, as well as flying insects or debris encountered during high-speed boating.
With Wiley X’s Triloid nylon frame construction and High Velocity Protection (HVP) Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses,
these glasses exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 High Velocity Impact Safety and Optical Standards. This is the same level of
protection that has made Wiley X a leading provider of eyewear to U.S. armed forces in action around the world.
The new Wiley X P-17GM comes complete with a T-Peg Strap (for extra security during active wear), a leash cord,
cleaning cloth and black zippered protective case.

WILEY X® EYEWEAR TEAM GUIDE & CAPTAIN RYAN ROWAN CHARTERS ANGLER BUCKY DENNIS TO NEW WORLD RECORD HAMMERHEAD SHARK
Boca Grande Pass — Spanish for “Big Mouth” — is located in
Southwest Florida on the Southern tip of Gasparilla Island.
Used for years as a busy shipping lane due to its deep water
channel, Boca Grande is also known as a popular haven for
tarpon and hammerhead sharks. Wiley X® Eyewear Team Guide,
Captain Ryan Rowan is no stranger to these waters, and he found
out just how prosperous the spot could be when he chartered
angler Bucky Dennis to a world record 1,060-pound hammerhead
shark using an 80-lb. line. Dennis' impressive catch, which still
must be verified by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA),
shatters a more than thirty-year old record by over 400 pounds —
when a 620-pound hammerhead was caught in Freeport, TX.
Captain Rowan was stalking the waters of the Boca Grande Pass
when he spotted a large hammerhead a few yards below the
surface. “My Wiley X glasses definitely helped me spot the shark,”
says Rowan. “It was primarily a sight fishing day, and since I could
see well below the surface of the water I was able to get the boat in
a great position to present our bait. Wiley X makes the best pair of glasses I've ever had. Nothing works better for
protecting my eyes than Wiley X's Facial Cavity Seal™, especially in cold weather.”
From the moment Dennis hooked the behemoth hammerhead, it took approximately three hours to pull up the
potentially record-breaking giant. Rowan and Dennis are no strangers to needing serious eye protection that performs
in dangerous environments — the pair also holds the 130-lb. class and all-tackle world records for a twelve and a half
foot, 1,280-pound Hammerhead reeled in back in 2006, also in Boca Grande.
A natural fit for the rigorous demands of the fishing market, Wiley X Eyewear is designed to provide superior eye
protection for the most demanding conditions, particularly with its Climate Control Series™. In addition to the HVP
Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses, every piece of eyewear in the Wiley X Climate Control Series features a patented,
removable, durable and vented foam gasket that locks securely into lightweight ANSI-certified frames — far exceeding
ANSI Z87.1 and ANSI Z80.3 safety and optical standards. The resulting Facial Cavity Seal™ effectively creates a
climatically controlled insulate that protects the wearer's eyes from elements such as wind, water, bugs, spray,
precipitation and any airborne irritants — providing superior, clear vision while cruising the open water, and amplifying
polarization to see more fish.

SKEET REESE WINS 2009 BASSMASTER CLASSIC WEARING SHADES FROM WILEY X® EYEWEAR
Wiley X, Inc.® Reels in 2009 BASS Pro Team
In an epic rally this past weekend at the 2009 Bassmaster Classic, dubbed
the “Super Bowl of fishing,” Wiley X angler Skeet Reese edged out a field of
fifty-one top anglers to gain professional fishing's highest honor and a $500k
prize purse in his tenth Classic appearance. Reese joins a very small, elite
club of fishermen who have won both the Bassmaster Angler of the Year
(2007), and Bassmaster Classic Championship (2009).
“Wiley X's polarized lenses played a critical role in maneuvering my boat,”
boasted Reese following the tournament. “My Wiley X's allowed me to be
more efficient on the water and I could see my way around rocks, logs or
shallow spots.”
Reese's eyewear of choice, and aiding in his quest for Bassmaster stardom,
is the Wiley X Skyee™ (Product #SSSKY04), an aggressive fashion-forward
model with Gloss Black frame and Polarized Smoke Green lenses — made
with Wiley X's patented High Velocity Protection™ (HVP) selenite
polycarbonate. Featuring a toric lens design, the Wiley X Skyee provides
optimum peripheral vision, along with Wiley X's Filter 8™ polarized technology, adding 99.9% polarization to 100%
ultra violet protection, and boasting 19% light transmission for unequaled clarity and contrast while out on the water.
While Reese enjoys the spotlight this week, he's just one of an
all-star cast of professional anglers wearing Wiley X. Skeet Reese
is joined by Boyd Duckett (2007 Bassmaster Classic Champion),
Edwin Evers, Jared Lintner, Jeremy Starks, Tanya Kreuzer,
Stephen Browning and the team's newest addition, Tim Horton.
Evers and Duckett posted phenomenal finishes in the 2009
Classic, ending 5th and 12th respectively. Horton was forced to
withdraw from the competition on day 2, following an illness.
A natural fit for the rigorous demands of the fishing market, Wiley X Eyewear is designed to provide superior eye

spray, precipitation and any airborne irritants — providing superior, clear vision while cruising the open water, and
amplifying polarization to see more fish.
“We're thrilled to be recognized as aiding in the successes of our anglers on the Bassmaster Elite Series Tour,” says
Wiley X, Inc.'s President of Sales, Myles Freeman, Jr. “It's a testament to all of the hard work we put in to ensure
we're producing the highest quality products that meet the most demanding requirements, and are providing an edge
on the water during competition.”
The dominating performance by Skeet Reese at the Bassmaster Classic represents the caliber of athlete endorsing
Wiley X Eyewear. In addition to Wiley X's 2009 BASS Pro Team, the company has solidified endorsements on the
Redfish Cup Tour, the nation's elite two-man saltwater angling championship, and NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series,
including Matt Kenseth, winner of the prestigious Daytona 500 and the first NASCAR racer since 1997 to take the
checkered flag in the season's first two races.

JEREMY STARKS REELS IN FIRST BASS WIN AT ALABAMA’S WHEELER LAKE WEARING SHADES FROM WILEY X
Wiley X Eyewear® Climate Control Series™ Protects Anglers from the Elements, Provides Superior Fishing Vision
Jeremy Starks posted his first BASS win at the recent Bassmaster Elite
Series Event at Alabama’s Wheeler Lake, plucking the victory from all-time
BASS career earnings leader Kevin Van Dam. Winning by just eight
ounces, Starks credited his victory to his decision to protect his secret spot
on the Decatur Flats, saving its bounty for the final day. He also credited
the protection and glare-cutting performance of his Wiley X® Climate Control
Series™ sunglasses.
With one Top 10 finish during his first year of competition, Starks entered
the 2008 season ranked 114th in the world. In addition to banking $100,000,
Starks’ recent victory moved him into 70th place in the Toyota Tundra
Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings. Starks (right) can be seen postevent
with trophy held high, still sporting his Wiley X shades.
Wiley X Eyewear™, a leading provider of protective eyewear for the world’s most demanding outdoor environments,
announced its 2008 Pro Bass Team earlier this year, featuring the world’s top anglers, including Starks, along with
Skeet Reese, Boyd Duckett, Edwin Evers, Jared Lintner, Tanya Kreuzer, Stephen Browning and DeWayne Bonham.
Wiley X’s patented Climate Control Series offers its pro anglers a significant advantage by protecting against wind,
spray and debris, as well as the damaging effects of glare, UVA and UVB rays.
Wiley X’s patented Climate Control eyewear system features a removable,
durable, symmetrically vented foam gasket that locks securely into Wiley
X’s lightweight frames. Designed to keep eyes from watering while on the
river, lake or ocean, Wiley X’s Climate Control Series ensures that anglers
are protected from the harshest of outdoor environments, such as the
bright sunlight that beat down on Wheeler Lake for four days straight.
Like all eyewear from Wiley X, the frames and lenses of the Climate
Control Series™ are ANSI certified — far exceeding ANSI Z87.1-2003
high velocity and optical standards.
