Q: Why can’t I purchase just the arms (temples) for my Wiley’s?
A: The arm’s (temples) are not sold as separate parts, for most of the Wiley’s. The only exceptions are found under replacement parts corresponding to the model.
Q: If I have interchangeable lenses, will my frames break if I change the lenses?
A: When you initially change your lenses, there will be some difficulty. If you experience problems with changing your lenses, please call our customer service department at 1-800-776-7842. Customer service is open Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Pacific Time.
Q: Can any of your glasses hold a prescription?
A: Yes, all of our glasses can hold a prescription except for the Revolver, the B-2 and the Saber. For more information, please go to the prescription section of our website. Please contact us regarding the prescription parameters, if you have questions about your prescription fitting into a Wiley-X frame.
Q: Are your prescription lenses ANSI rated?
A: Yes, as long as the lenses are made by our labs, the prescription lenses do meet the current ANSI standards. All of our frames & lenses will have the ANSI stamp on them. If your lenses are being made by another lab you must verify with that lab, if your lenses will meet the ANSI standards. The only Wiley’s that will not have ANSI lenses or frames are the Ophthalmic Line.
Q: What is the difference between the SG-1 and the SG-1 V-Cut?
A: The regular SG-1 has foam that goes around the inside of the lens cylinder (gasket) with notches in the foam for ventilation and “top down” ventilation. The SG-1 V-Cut has notches in the foam, for ventilation, as well as foam missing from the outer corner the eye. For a visual reference, please see the SG-1 spec sheet.
Q: Are the SG-1 & SG-1 V-cut lenses interchangeable?
A: Yes. The SG-1 & SG-1 V-Cut lenses are interchangeable. All SG-1 lenses (V-Cut or regular) will fit in the SG-1 frame.
Q: Do all of your glasses/gloves have a National Stock Number (NSN)?
A: No. Currently the only glasses that have a National Stock Number are the SG-1, the Romer II, the PT-1 & the XL-1. We are working on obtaining National Stock Numbers for most of our glasses and our gloves.
