WILEY X® EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP WITH PARALYZED VETERANS OF AMERICA,
SUPPORTING 2011 FISHING, SHOOTING AND HANDCYCLING COMPETITIONS NATIONWIDE
Top Anglers of Year and Top Trapshooters Named After Rousing Season of Competition
As a veteran-owned company, Wiley X® knows that the competitive spirit and drive for excellence burns
strongly inside the hearts of America’s paralyzed veterans. It’s why the leading manufacturer of protective
sunglasses has actively sponsored the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) National Bass Tour, National Trapshoot
Circuit and U.S. Handcycling Series throughout 2011.
Following the last tournament of the 2011 season, Tony Choe of Fairfax Station, Virginia earned 580 points and
took home PVA National Bass Tour Angler of the Year honors. Runner-up Brent Homan of Harker Heights, Texas had
a strong finish to end the season with 534 points. Harold Henderson of Fletcher, North Carolina finished a close
third with 532 points. Fourth Place honors went to Paul Offill of Forney, Texas, who reached the end of the season
with 522 points. In the PVA Bass Tour Bank Division — for anglers who prefer to fish from shore rather than a
boat — angler Ken DaVault of Silver Springs, Maryland held onto the commanding lead he had on the field going into
the final event to earn top honors with 597 points.
With their advanced fish-spotting capabilities and unique High Velocity Protection, Wiley X polarized sunglasses
are the choice of top professional anglers like Bassmaster Classic champion Skeet Reese and 2010 Angler of the Year
runner up Edwin Evers. This performance also makes Wiley X an ideal sponsorship partner for the PVA National Bass
Tour. As part of its agreement, Wiley X provides its polarized eyewear to the tournament staff, directors and volunteers
that make these events possible. Each tournament winning angler also receive Wiley X eyewear, while the Angler of the Year
winner receives a special Wiley X prize package including a pair of Wiley X glasses, logo hoodie and ball cap.
Competition had been tough all season in the 2011 PVA National Trapshoot Circuit, where shooters with disabilities compete
as equals with able-bodied athletes. With the recent conclusion of this event’s 15th Circuit, the exciting and hard fought
competition ended with Bill Palmer named as the season’s Chad Crowley Award winner (given to the highest overall PVA voting
member who is a veteran), receiving a special Wiley X prize package including a T-Shirt, sunglasses and cap. Wiley X Eyewear
also went to Steve Wagner, who was named high overall shooter, and Doug Vann, who took top honors as high wheelchair shooter.
Wiley X has been there during every step of the PVA National Trapshoot Circuit, providing winners, staff, directors and
volunteers with its new Wiley X Guard and Wiley X Saber Advanced tactical eyewear — some of the same protection it provides
to U.S. military forces in action around the world.
Wiley X’s tactical eyewear meets stringent MIL-PRF-31013 military ballistic standards for Combat Eye Protection. Wiley X
is also the only premium sunglass manufacturer with tough ANSI-Z87.1-2003 High Mass and High Velocity Impact Test ratings
on every pair of glasses it makes.
“As a veteran-owned company, we have immense respect these soldiers who have made such a sacrifice for their country,”
said Wiley X Co-Owner Myles Freeman, Jr. “These are world-class athletes who have overcome challenges most of us can’t
even fathom. It’s our honor to support their efforts and reward their accomplishments on the water, on the range and on the
road. This is why we expanded our involvement during the 2011 PVA season to include the U.S. Handcycling Series,” added Freeman.
Wiley X will provide its state-of-the-art, road-ready vision protection to race personnel and top competitors who battle
it out wheel-to-wheel on hand-powered cycles. These bicep-burning competitions take place across the country, including
many world-renowned marathons — such as the New York City Marathon Nov. 6 — that allow
handcycling competitors.

VETERAN-OWNED WILEY X® EYEWEAR CELEBRATES AMERICA'S INDEPENDENCE JULY 4TH
Leading Military Eyewear Provider Asks All Americans to Reflect on America’s Unique
Freedoms as We Gather With Friends and Family
Every 4th of July, Americans from every walk of life gather together to spend time with family and friends – enjoying picnics,
parades, and of course, awe-inspiring fireworks displays. Wiley X® Eyewear, a leading provider of protective eyewear for U.S.
soldiers and law enforcement, wants all Americans to pause on this Holiday to reflect on why it is and what it is we celebrate
— the independence and freedoms we enjoy not only on this particular day, but every day of our lives.
of Americans who have given their lives to preserve our freedom — the honor, gratitude and respect they deserve.
As a veteran-owned company, Wiley X is keenly aware that our nation’s independence and our personal freedoms have been
challenged and defended many times over the years — often by brave men and women far from home.
“We gather on July 4th to celebrate the birth of our great nation,” said Myles Freeman, Jr. Co-Owner of Wiley X Eyewear.
“However, we tend to think of Independence Day as an historical Holiday, a celebration of events that happened more than
200 years ago. We need to remember and celebrate the uniquely American freedoms we enjoy today — and the sacrifices required
to preserve them for future generations. As modern technology lets us see more of what goes on around the world, we’re
reminded that freedom should never be taken for granted,” added Freeman.
For more than 25 years, Wiley X has supplied its advanced vision protection systems to elite Special Forces military units
in action around the globe. Wiley X tactical eyewear products meet stringent ANSI Z87.1-2003 High Velocity and High Mass
Impact standards, protecting soldiers against a range of dangers and providing the clear vision and eye comfort necessary
for them to perform their duties in challenging conditions. Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand with this ANSI rating
on every product it makes — providing every wearer with the same level
of protection.

WILEY X® PROUD TO ATTACH ‘MADE IN AMERICA’ STAMP TO ITS TALON SUNGLASS
Part of Larger Endeavor to Manufacture Key Tactical Products in the U.S.A.
Wiley X® announced its Wiley X TalonTM ballistic eyewear will now
be manufactured in America. The change adheres to a strategic commitment the company has made to produce a greater
number of tactical eyewear products in the U.S.A.
“We are American proud, and we believe there is value in fabricating products here in the U.S.,” said Wiley X Co-Owner
Myles Freeman, Jr. “We consider the movement toward making more products in America as one that only strengthens our
commitment to creating the very best eyewear protection available for those who serve our community and our country.”
The notable Wiley X Talon is one that has been recognized by the U.S. Military as a preferred product available through
GSA as well as having been issued its own National Stock Number (NSN 4240-01-583-5158 and NSN 6540-01-584-0073 for its
Rx plug-in). This means the Wiley X Talon has both a proven federally backed track record in specific applications as
well as a strong history of ongoing governmental procurement.
Featuring an interchangeable smoke and clear lens system, the Wiley X Talon has a versatile, wrap-around design that
lends superior peripheral vision all while providing comprehensive protection. The system is created with shatterproof
Selenite™ lenses that feature T-Shell™ lens coating that resists scratching in extreme environments,

high velocity and high mass impact and optical performance standards.
The Wiley X Talon also has a variety of options making it a top choice for armed forces. The glasses are night vision
(NVG) compatible and heat resistant. They also provide 100 percent UVA/UVB protection with distortion-free clarity.
With an adjustable rubber nose bridge and adjustable wire core at its temples, the Wiley X Talon has been designed to
fit comfortably on different head and face shapes.
Its superior Rx-compatible design is one of the few that meets the U.S. Army specifications and gives wearers optimal
vision without headaches or distortion all too common with other brands. The glasses also have an exclusive prescription
“plug-in” feature which can be fit by any optometrist and is compatible with other popular Wiley X models including the
Wiley X Spear and the Wiley X Patriot goggles.

Honor Our Fallen Heroes May 30th

and respect they deserve.
“With Memorial Day marking the unofficial
kickoff to summer and many families taking the opportunity to get away for an extended weekend, it’s
easy to forget the true meaning of this holiday,” said Myles Freeman, Jr., Co-Owner of Wiley X Eyewear. “Memorial Day is a time for Americans
to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice so many have made over our great nation’s history. On behalf of the Wiley X family, I encourage people to pause
during this holiday and really think about the gift we’ve all been given — as well as its tremendous cost. If you meet a veteran or a solider this weekend,
make sure to say ‘thank you!’ We need to truly appreciate our fallen heroes and our standing soldiers alike,” added Freeman.

WILEY X® EYEWEAR NOW MANUFACTURING PT-1 BALLISTIC EYEWEAR IN THE U.S.A.
Signals New Initiative to Make More Tactical Protective Eyewear Products in America
Wiley X® Eyewear is proud to announce that it is now manufacturing its successful Wiley X PT-1 tactical eyewear system in the U.S.A.
Perhaps even more importantly, this veteran-owned company says this is the first example of an ongoing initiative that will see more tactical
eyewear products built in America.
“We have long endeavored to provide our brave soldiers in the field with the vision protection they need and deserve,” said Wiley X Eyewear
Co-Owner Myles Freeman, Jr. “Meeting the highest possible standards of quality and performance has always been something we take quite
seriously. Manufacturing key tactical products like the PT-1 here in America will help us raise the bar even further — and we plan to expand
on this important initiative in the future,” added Freeman.
The PT-1 is part of Wiley X’s lightweight and versatile Changeable Series products, designed to provide military and law enforcement users with
the highest level of protection and the flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and tactical situations “on the fly.” It features Wiley X’s
Wrapback™ design for superior peripheral vision and reduced backlit glare. The PT-1’s Take-Flight nose piece is designed to adjust to any
nose bridge for a secure and comfortable fit. The Wiley X PT-1 is offered in single lens, two-lens and three-lens packages to best match a
variety of missions and environments. The PT-1 is also RX-insert compatible for seamless use with corrective lenses. In fact, this same Rx-insert
can also be used with several other Wiley X tactical models including the PT-3, Saber Advanced and Nerve Goggle.
These advanced glasses have been engineered to protect the vision of soldiers and law enforcement in the field of operations, where things can
go from bad to worse in a flash. Wiley X’s PT-1 meets the military’s stringent MIL-PRF-31013 Ballistic Standard as well as the ANSI Z87.1-2003
High Velocity and High Mass Impact Standards. In fact, Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand with this stringent ANSI rating on every
product it makes. The PT-1 is also Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL) Approved, an important designation proudly noted on this
product’s frame.

WILEY X® EYEWEAR BRINGS ADDED REALISM TO “RELOAD” GAME FOR
iPHONE, iPAD AND iPOD TOUCH
Groundbreaking Weapons and Tactics Simulator Uses Wiley X Protective Eyewear to Create Lifelike Situations and Experiences
The key to creating a truly authentic experience for gamers is meticulous attention to every detail. Video game
publisher Mastiff LLC recognizes this, which is why the company selected Wiley X® Eyewear for its recently launched
weapons and tactics simulator “Reload.” An instant hit with Wii and PC gamers, Reload is now available for the iPhone,
iPad and iPod Touch, opening up millions of new gaming enthusiasts to this unique experience. And Wiley X’s battlefield-proven
ballistic eyewear is right there, “keeping it real.”
Reload is an intense virtual experience looking down the barrel as an exhibition shooter, soldier or law enforcement official.
Featuring more than 25 sophisticated weapons from some of the best known firearms and shooting gear manufacturers
(such as Wiley X, Remington, Magnum Research and Champion), players are able to take to the shooting range, deploy into the
field or run through various drills just like the world’s top professionals, all with the highest level of realism. This exciting game
creates a new level of realism as players “train” for everything from hostage rescue, VIP protection and sniper situations to Olympic style shooting events.
It’s noteworthy that Reload is one of the first non-violent tactical shooting games. Instead of the usual blood and violence associated
with this gaming genre, Reload focuses on the experience of professional shooting and tactical situations.
This game offers 17 levels and lets players earn more than 100 medals, achievements and badges while shooting famous weapons
like the Remington Model 1100™ Tac4 and Modular Sniper Rifle (MSR™), Desert Eagle Pistols, the M249 and AK-47. For added
excitement and competition, up to four players can take turns on a single level on a single device. Reload has earned a “T” rating from the
ESRB and is considered suitable for teens — an important factor in Wiley X’s involvement with the game.
Reload is available through iTunes for only $2.99. The game will be available for Android phones later in 2011.
As a leading provider of ballistic eye protection for U.S. armed forces and law enforcement, Wiley X Eyewear
was a logical choice to bring added realism to Reload. Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer with ANSI Z87.1-2003
high velocity and high mass impact standard rating on every product, bringing this same high standard of protection to tactical wearers,
shooting professionals and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Proud of this accomplishment, Wiley X places this protection certification on
each pair of glasses, right near the company’s distinctive “WX” logo – a sign of shooting excellence known the world over.

WILEY X® SUPPORTS PARALYZED VETERANS AS THEY CAST AND BLAST
THEIR WAY THROUGH A COMPETITIVE 2011 SEASON
Veteran-Owned Company Sponsors PVA National Trapshoot Circuit and PVA Bass Tour
Wiley X® Eyewear has announced its 2011 sponsorship of two important programs
that allow paralyzed veterans to compete against each other and other outdoor
sportsmen in exciting shooting and bass fishing events around the country.
Wiley X will be providing thousands of dollars worth of its performance protective
sunglasses to both the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) National Trapshoot
Circuit and the PVA National Bass Tour. Wiley X glasses will be featured prizes at
prominent PVA shooting and bass fishing events throughout the 2011 season.
In PVA National Trapshoot Circuit events, shooters with disabilities and able-bodied
shooters compete as equals in the fun and competitive sport of trapshooting—
shooting at clay targets hurled upwards to simulate the flight of a game bird. This
year's schedule of events around the country marks the 15th annual circuit for this exciting and tightly competitive
event. Among the other notable sponsors for this unique series of shooting competitions are Cabela's, Winchester
Ammo, SKB Shotguns and Leupold Optics.
Wiley X will be providing winners, staff, directors and volunteers for the PVA National Trapshoot Circuit with its new
Wiley X Guard and Wiley X Saber Advanced tactical eyewear. Wiley X will also be part of the prize package
recognition for the season's high-scoring overall shooter, high-scoring wheelchair shooter, and the winner of the
Chad Crowley Award, for the highest overall PVA Voting member who is a veteran.
Both the Wiley X Guard and Wiley X Saber Advanced combine unparalleled protection with the ability to quickly
change lenses to match shooting conditions. This advanced eyewear meets stringent MIL-PRF-31013 military
ballistic standards (U.S. Military Combat Eye Protection) as well as ANSI Z87.1-2003 high impact certification
(OSHA Occupational Eye Protection). In addition to advanced impact protection, Wiley X's lenses also provide
100% UVA and UVB protection. This level of performance and protection has made Wiley X a leading supplier of
eyewear to elite military units around the globe. Because Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand that certifies its
entire line to exceed ANSI Z87 standards for safety, every pair of Wiley X glasses provides the same high standard
of protection.
Wiley X will also be joining the likes of organizations like B.A.S.S., Bass Pro Shops, Minn Kota, Tracker Boats and
Humminbird in its sponsorship of the PVA National Bass Tour. Wiley X will provide its polarized protective eyewear
for tournament staff, directors and volunteers, as well as tournament winning anglers and the overall Angler of the
Year. The PVA Tour consists of seven tournaments, each consisting of an Open/Team competition for anglers who
wish to compete from a boat and a Bank Competition for anglers who prefer to fish from shore.
Wiley X polarized sunglasses provide the same level of protection found in its tactical eyewear, protecting anglers
against everything from airborne debris and low-hanging limbs to flying lures. The advanced fish-spotting
performance of these glasses have made Wiley X the choice of many top professional anglers, including Bassmaster
Classic champion Skeet Reese and 2010 Angler of the Year runner-up Edwin Evers.
“As a veteran owned company, we're very proud to support Paralyzed Veterans of America and all of its efforts,” said
Wiley X President of Sales Myles Freeman, Jr. “Shooting and fishing are two great American pastimes and an
excellent way for people to enjoy the great outdoors. These events put on by PVA provide disabled veterans and
others with a chance to share and enjoy these life-affirming activities, all in the spirit of healthy competition. We're
honored to present these brave sportsmen and event organizers with our products,” added Freeman.

WILEY X® CAG-1™ AND WILEY X® ARIES™ GLOVES WIN HANDS DOWN
14USC89.com Shooting Glove Competition for Tactical Maritime Use
Put Top Brands To the Test
In a recent shooting glove competition by maritime law
enforcement organization 14USC89.com, Wiley X® had two of its
top tactical gloves take the upper hand in a punishing series of
tests during a week-long advanced weapons course and CQB
instructor course at U.S. Training Center. Both the Wiley X
Combat Assault Glove™ (CAG-1™) and the Wiley X Aries™
Glove were pitted against stiff competition from glove brands like
Oakley, Under Armor and Mechanix, yet received the highest
marks of all.
This was a grueling user field test for maritime operation applications, and each set of gloves received equal range
time and testing with 5000 rounds each of pistol, rifle and shotgun. The gloves were also assessed for the primary
performance attributes of user ease and comfort, with particular focus on the ability to provide solid grip and
comfortable feel, along with the ability to change magazines, draw handcuffs, or other tools without losing the
sense of feel.
The Army Combat Glove Authorized Products List (ACGAPL) approved
Wiley X CAG-1, made of treated goatskin leather and with an injection
molded knuckle protector, has a 100% Kevlar weave from fingers to wrist
and is flame and abrasion resistant. “This glove blew everyone away.
The question is, what does it NOT have,” quipped the reviewer at
14USC89.com. “These gloves held up extraordinarily during shooting
and even allowed for ease of use during reloading. It fits perfectly and
even molds itself to the shape of your hand. The wrist strap allows for
the perfect fit.”
Wiley X's Aries glove was no slouch, either — NAVAIR approved, it has a lightweight Nomex/Kevlar weave on the
fingers and the back of the hand for flame resistance and to prevent cuts. “The (Aries) Wiley X gloves offer an
outstanding fit and a Velcro® cuff for perfect adjustment and fit,” reported 14USC89.com. “They also have leather
protection across the knuckles. Tips of the thumb, middle, and shooting finger are precut for exposure and 100%
sense of touch to the wearer.”

‘LOW PROFILE’ WILEY X® TALON™ BECOMES HIGHLY VISIBLE —
ISSUED NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER
First Ballistic Spectacle to Meet the “Face Form Requirement” and Provide Lateral
Protection Recognized for Battle-Proven Record
Wiley X® Eyewear is proud to announce that its renowned Wiley X Talon™ ballistic eyewear line has been issued National Stock Number (NSN) 4240-01-583-5158,
(and NSN 6540-01-584-0073 to its Rx plug-in) by the US government. NSNs are assigned to products in use by the federal government with a proven track record
in specific applications, paired with a strong history of ongoing governmental procurement.
While the Wiley X® Talon™ is available through GSA, the issuance of an NSN number is a completely separate category. Products are given a 13-digit numeric code
identifying all the 'standardized material items of supply' as recognized by the United States Department of Defense, thus the US government and military agencies
can now specify the Wiley X Talon by its NSN nomenclature.
The Wiley X® Talon™ is an interchangeable smoke and clear lens system widely recognized as preferred eyewear in the US military and law enforcement arena. It has a
versatile, wrap-around design that provides the ultimate in both peripheral vision, while providing comprehensive protection. The system is created with shatterproof Selenite™
lenses that feature T-Shell™ lens coating that resists scratching in extreme environments, and meets both US MIL-PRF-31013 VO ballistic impact and ANSI Z87.1-2003
high velocity impact standards.
The Wiley X® Talon™ provides a wide range of unmatched options that has made it the go-to system for the armed forces. It’s night vision (NVG) compatible, heat resistant
and provides 100% UVA/UVB protection with distortion-free clarity. Perhaps most compellingly, it is designed with a high performance new Rx-compatible design — making
headaches and the potential for disorientation found in other brands obsolete. Plus, the prescription “plug-in” feature is robust, and can be fit with ease by any optometrist,
and the segment is even compatible with a number of other popular Wiley X lines, including the Wiley X Spear and new WX Patriot goggles. In fact, Wiley X is one of the few
APEL suppliers to design and produce a Rx carrier solution that actually meets the specifications requested by the army of all its eyewear suppliers.
“We’re honored to have the Wiley X® Talon™ receive this level of national official acceptance, and have had the pleasure of providing the kind of equipment that helps keep our
troops safe at home and abroad for more than two decades,” says Steve Gerlovich, Wiley X Vice President of Government Sales. “Our team looks forward to continuing to
provide high performance solutions for these demanding applications in the decades ahead.”

HIGH PERFORMANCE EYEWEAR IN WILEY X® ARSENAL WORKS AS A TEAM,
INTEGRATING VERSATILE INTERCHANGEABLE RX PLUG-IN OPTION
Top Level Protection Features Provide Prescription and Battle Ready Precision
Wiley X® Eyewear’s newest lines of ultra-high performance tactical glasses and goggles are trusted by armed forces across the planet. This trust comes from
decades of proven excellence and a slew of well engineered features derived from feedback from the same men and women who use them in the heat of battle.
And now this cutting edge protective eyewear offers new heights of versatility and clarity with its Wiley X Multi Platform Rx Inserts™ — unique prescription inserts that
snap seamlessly into select Wiley X Changeable™ and goggle models.
The new technology is part of the company’s ISO: 9001-2008 certified commitment to ongoing enhancement and upgrading to its design and manufacturing processes.
The innovative Wiley X Multi Platform Rx Inserts allow usage as a unit across multiple models — and can be pushed in and pulled out in seconds — to meet a wide range
of complex tactical applications. The new system is available with two of Wiley X’s most popular tactical goggle lines: the Wiley X Patriot™ , Wiley X Spear™ as well as
the Wiley X Talon™ from Wiley X’s versatile Changeable™ series. All three are crafted with the company’s shatterproof Selenite™ Polycarbonate lenses, the most impact
resistant lens material in the world, capable of deflecting against everything from a direct bullet and shrapnel to flying casings and rocks. These revolutionary lenses far exceed
both ANSI Z87.1 safety and ANSI Z80.3 optical standards, and include a special scratch resistant hardcoat layer to extend the life of the lens, and in some cases reported to
Wiley X, the life and/or vision of the wearer.
And now, all this protection has special industry-leading Rx inserts that will allow crossover prescription capabilities, so wearers can make the switch in gear without worrying
about loss of visual acuity and other issues that can come with other brands. War fighters can seamlessly change the Rx insert from goggles like the Wiley X Patriot™, a
heavy-duty system with a special removable, washable facial cavity seal to the Wiley X Spear™, a unique multi-function selection with a sleek profiled NVG compatible design.
The same insert is also designed for the low profile Wiley X Talon™ shield from the acclaimed Changeable Series, so users are covered in a wide range of the company’s most
popular designs.
Now precision vision is insured for prescription eyewear users — they’ll literally have to see it to believe it. Since Wiley X is a veteran owned and operated team, it’s proud to
put its years of experience to work to protect the vision of the most intrepid folks on earth and continue to refine and improve even its top designs to meet the needs in the field.

The US Government determined recently that prescription eyewear with acute face form angles (>12.1°) and pantoscopic tilts with measured angles (>18°)
were a significant source of distortion, headaches and dizziness.
The Government recommended new desired specifications for eyewear used by our forces to prevent these
effects — identified as a leading cause of headaches suffered by the men and women protecting our freedom.
Wiley X® Eyewear’s Talon™ — a high performance shield with near vertical pantoscopic tilt – meets these stringent desired specifications.
Wiley X’s battlefield and ophthalmology lab-proven design is engineered for perfect peripheral optics in a high wrap, supremely protective frame. The design
has two curved sections that meet at the nose bridge to allow for the curve over each eye to avoid peripheral changes, the primary issue with other prescription
eyewear of this type, while still accommodating a flat lens carrier. While the design doesn’t incur the typical stress and fatiguing effects of other brands, it also
provides industry-leading protection with ANSI Z87.1-2003 and MIL-PRF-31013 certified lenses.
ISO: 9001-2008 certified Wiley X has been developing innovative solutions for the US Military for two decades, so the fact that its Talon anticipated these
issues before being required to conform to them is no surprise. In addition to its advanced optic design, the Wiley X Talon, like all of the company’s acclaimed
eyewear, is built for incredible abuse in the field with shatterproof Selenite™ Polycarbonate lenses, that exceed both ANSI Z87.1 safety and ANSI Z80.3 optical
standards, along with a special scratch resistant hardcoat layer to extend the life of the lens.
Plus, veteran owned and operated Wiley X has developed its innovative Rx inserts to allow crossover usage with numerous other Wiley X protective eyewear,
from goggles to shields, for unmatched, effective versatility and comfort.

NEW WILEY X BLACK OPS BRICKTM PROVIDES HEAVY DUTY PROTECTION AND STYLE
Fully ANSI Z.87.1-2003 Certified New Style Hits the Market Like a Ton...
Wiley X® Eyewear launched its all-new Black Ops Collection this year to loud applause worldwide. Small wonder, as the sleek new series redefines cool, while delivering the highest level of proven protection in the industry. The latest in the all-star lineup is the Wiley X Black Ops Collection BrickTM — already receiving standing ovations from both the tactical elite it was designed for and folks who play and look hard simultaneously.
Like its ultra-cool brethren in the innovative 2010 series, this new sunglass has Wiley X’s signature high performance design elements. With well-engineered lines, it has a powerful silhouette that will look great and stay right on your face, no matter what you put it through on the job or off. And those lines don’t just look cool — the frames bear the official mark of ANSI Z87.1-2003 certification. In fact, Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer who certifies all of its products to exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity and high mass impact standards. That means these unbreakable matte black TriloidTM nylon frames can stand up to punishment like withstanding the impact of a .25” diameter steel ball fired at 150fps — from 20 different angles.
The unmatched safety features don’t stop at Wiley X’s unique frames — the sleek grey lenses are certified to the same exacting standard for high velocity impact and safety. They’re made from SeleniteTM Polycarbonate with a special T-ShellTM scratch resistance feature, and provide 100% UVA/UVB protection. The versatile Wiley X Black Ops Collection Brick is one of the select options in the new series with Wiley X’s industry-leading Climate ControlTM feature — so it provides additional customization and protection with its Facial CavityTM Seal, which both keeps out debris and dust, and provides continual ventilation across the interior of the lens.
This new sunglass is perfect for those with medium to large sized heads, and will fit like a glove, thanks to specially designed neoprene temple socks, so it will be comfortably stable for the most vigorous all day wear.

ALL NEW WILEY X SABER ADVANCED™ BRINGS A NEW FACE OF PROTECTION AND PERFORMANCE
Latest Addition to the Famed Changeable Series Packed with Unparalleled New Enhancements
Operating in tactical environments demands the ability to evolve and change to meet a wide range of potential threats. Which is why industry leader Wiley X® has delivered the world’s most cutting edge products to serve and protect those who fight for our freedom, and part of the company’s approach to excellence is based on continual improvements based on R&D and direct feedback from the field. Enter the newest addition to the company’s edgy Changeable Series — the Wiley X Saber Advanced™ — which takes its own well-deserved reputation for unmatched protection and visual acuity and kicks it up a notch.
Veteran owned and operated Wiley X recently achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification as part of its ongoing commitment to continually advance its existing top-of-the-line manufacturing processes. Wiley X is the only premium sunglass manufacturer who certifies all of its products to exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity and high mass impact standards. Honoring that enviable heritage, the new Wiley X Saber Advanced meets stringent MIL-PRF-31013 military ballistic standards as well as ANSI Z87.1-2003 high impact certification (OSHA Occupational Eye Protection) — with a solid 3.0mm thick lens — the thickest, most durable lens available in the tactical eyewear market. These lenses are made of scratch-resistant and shatterproof Selenite™ polycarbonate, and are backed up with the company’s signature High Velocity Protection™ (HVP™) to present an unencumbered field of view.
This diverse new offering comes with five versatile lens systems, so it can be tailored to meet the widest array of field applications on the planet. From the hard core new Saber Advanced X2 system, road and range ready with two complete interchangeable systems in one — with both smoke grey and clear lenses, to the Saber Advanced Model #309, with its unique smoke grey/light rust/vermillion lens package, this new series from Wiley X is created to protect the eye in any environment. Each of the systems has an Ultra Foam™ Brow Bar to keep sweat and debris off your face, unbreakable matte black frames, and a rugged, well-engineered design providing wrap-around protection that not only delivers powerful, battlefield-tested ballistic impact resistance, but also provides 100% UVA and UVB protection. Even with all of these industry-leading features, it’s also the best value on the market (Single Lens Systems #302 and #303 have an MSRP of $38.00, while the Saber Advanced X2 has an unbeatable suggested retail price of $72.00.)
Many tactical situations are best dealt with using protection for ears and eyes, so the Wiley X Saber Advanced is designed to allow seamless transition to effectively and comfortably pair with over-the-head hearing protection earmuffs. Simply remove the sturdy temple arms and then replace them with the included rugged, snap-in elastic strap to both reduce pressure on the head under a helmet and ensure a secure fit during jarring strides or rides.
Plus, the Wiley X Saber Advanced has an optional Rx plug-in that will soon be available to seamlessly fit most prescriptions, and has a tailored ‘take flight’ nose piece to adapt to a wide range of nose shapes and sizes — so it stays right in place when the heat is on.

'LOW PROFILE' WILEY X® TALON™ BECOMES HIGHLY VISIBLE — ISSUED NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER
First Ballistic Spectacle to Meet the “Face Form Requirement” and Provide Lateral Protection Recognized for Battle-Proven Record
Wiley X® Eyewear is proud to announce that its renowned
Wiley X Talon™ ballistic eyewear line has been issued National
Stock Number (NSN) 4240-01-583-5158, (and NSN 6540-01-584-
0073 to its Rx plug-in) by the US government. NSNs are
assigned to products in use by the federal government with a
proven track record in specific applications, paired with a strong
history of ongoing governmental procurement.
While the Wiley X Talon is available through GSA, the issuance of
an NSN number is a completely separate category. Products are
given a 13-digit numeric code identifying all the 'standardized material items of supply' as recognized by the United
States Department of Defense, thus the US government and military agencies can now specify the Wiley X Talon
by its NSN nomenclature.
The Wiley X Talon is an interchangeable smoke and clear lens system widely recognized as preferred eyewear in the
US military and law enforcement arena. It has a versatile, wrap-around design that provides the ultimate in both
peripheral vision, while providing comprehensive protection. The system is created with shatterproof Selenite™
lenses that feature T-Shell™ lens coating that resists scratching in extreme environments, and meets both
US MIL-PRF-31013 VO ballistic impact and ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity impact standards.
The Wiley X Talon provides a wide range of unmatched options that has
made it the go-to system for the armed forces. It's night vision (NVG)
compatible, heat resistant and provides 100% UVA/UVB protection with
distortion-free clarity. Perhaps most compellingly, it is designed with a high
performance new Rx-compatible design — making headaches and the
potential for disorientation found in other brands obsolete. Plus, the
prescription “plug-in” feature is robust, and can be fit with ease by any
optometrist, and the segment is even compatible with a number of other
popular Wiley X lines, including the Wiley X Spear and new WX Patriot goggles.
“We're honored to have the Wiley X Talon receive this level of national official acceptance, and have had the pleasure
of providing the kind of equipment that helps keep our troops safe at home and abroad for more than two decades,”
says Steve Gerlovich, Wiley X Vice President of Government Sales. “Our team looks forward to continuing to provide
high performance solutions for these demanding applications in the decades ahead.”

to ongoing enhancement and upgrading to its design and manufacturing
processes. The innovative Wiley X Multi Platform Rx Inserts allow usage as a

to meet a wide range of complex tactical applications. The new system is
available with two of Wiley X's most popular tactical goggle lines: the
Wiley X Patriot™, Wiley X Spear™ as well as the Wiley X Talon™ from Wiley X's versatile Changeable series.
All three are crafted with the company's shatterproof Selenite™ Polycarbonate lenses, the most impact resistant lens
material in the world, capable of deflecting against everything from a direct bullet and shrapnel to flying casings and
rocks. These revolutionary lenses far exceed both ANSI Z87.1 safety and ANSI Z80.3 optical standards, and include
a special scratch resistant hardcoat layer to extend the life of the lens, and in some cases reported to Wiley X, the life
and/or vision of the wearer.
And now, all this protection has special industry-leading Rx inserts that
will allow crossover prescription capabilities, so wearers can make the
switch in gear without worrying about loss of visual acuity and other
issues that can come with other brands. War fighters can seamlessly
change the Rx insert from goggles like the Wiley X Patriot, a heavy- duty
system with a special removable, washable facial cavity seal to the
Wiley X Spear, a unique multi-function selection with a sleek profiled NVG compatible design. The same insert is also designed for the low profile Wiley X Talon™ shield from the
acclaimed Changeable Series, so users are covered in a wide range of the company's most popular designs.
Now precision vision is insured for prescription eyewear users — they'll literally have to see it to believe it. Since
Wiley X is a veteran owned and operated team, it's proud to put its years of experience to work to protect the vision of
the most intrepid folks on earth and continue to refine and improve even its top designs to meet the needs in the field.

Warrior Protection and Readiness Coalition Members to Brief Congress on Need for Superior Warfighter Equipment
April 21, 2010
Members of the Warrior Protection and Readiness Coalition (WPRC) will meet this week with more than forty Congressional offices as part of their ongoing effort to educate Members and staff on Capitol Hill about the need to adequately fund Individual Equipment programs for America’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.
The WPRC is an industry-led coalition comprised of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of combat clothing and Individual Equipment for the American warfighter. The WPRC provides a unified voice for a key component of America’s domestic industrial base and is actively engaged in advocating for policies that ensure that our warfighters are outfitted with the clothing and equipment they require to ensure battlefield superiority. This week, the WPRC’s primary goal is to educate Congress and the Administration on the importance of meeting warfighter needs during times of war, as well as during times of relative peace.
Luke Hillier, the Chief Executive Officer of WPRC founding member ADS Inc., explained the WPRC’s mission, noting that “Operational readiness is not just a wartime concern. We need to make absolutely certain that when Congress stops providing supplemental appropriations to fund overseas conflict, our warfighters do not lose access to the best possible clothing and Individual Equipment available. Building the WPRC’s relationship with Congress is a critical step in raising awareness of the warfighters’ needs, and preventing a funding vacuum that our Armed Services and our country cannot afford.”
The founding members of the WPRC include ADS Inc., Darn Tough, Insight Technology, Integrated Wave Technologies, London Bridge Trading, Milliken, New Balance, Otis, Pelican, Sperian, Surefire, Wiley X and W. L. Gore. Additional leaders in the Individual Equipment industry are expected to join as this effort gains momentum. Best in the West, created and hosted by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, is the largest invitational S.W.A.T. competition in the Western United States. It begun under the auspices of then-Sheriff Charles Gillingham, and continuing today under the leadership of Sheriff Laurie Smith, this event is now in its 18th year. Each year, members of the departments Sheriff's Emergency Response Team design, physically construct, and run an intensive two-day, 7-course competition, pitting S.W.A.T. teams from all over the West against each other, in a multi-jurisdictional learning experience unequalled in this part of the country. With numerous yearly variations and twists, designed to keep any returning teams from becoming complacent, and to keep all teams challenged to the utmost, Best in the West is comprised of the following timed events: Physical Challenge Course, Sniper Course, The Two Person Assault Course, The Jungle Trail, The Combined Weapons Course, The Shotgun Course, & The Teams Assault Course.

WILEY X® EYEWEAR SPONSORS TEAM SEMPER FI FOR 2009 PRIMAL QUEST® BADLANDS RACE
Wiley X® Eyewear is pleased to announce its sponsorship of
Team Semper Fi (team #37) for the 2009 Primal Quest® Badlands
Expedition Adventure Race, formerly known as the Eco-Challenge,
which will take place August 14 - 23, 2009 in South Dakota.
Primal Quest is an environmentally-friendly wilderness race in
which teams compete in extreme sports disciplines including
trekking, off road running, mountain biking, caving, swimming,
kayaking and a fixed line ropes courses for more than $100,000 in
cash and prizes.
Wiley X Eyewear, a leading manufacturer of protective eyewear for enthusiasts across a broad range of categories,
has donated a substantial contribution toward the team's entry fees. Wiley X has also provided the team with a
supply of unique eyewear, which — like these extreme athletes — is durable, dependable and able to perform in
severe conditions. As standard issue for FBI, DEA, Army Rangers, Navy SEALs and other elite Special Forces units
around the world, all Wiley X models exceed the ANSI Z87.1-2003 safety requirements. Team Semper Fi will be
competing in glasses from Wiley X's acclaimed Active Series™ — high performance eyewear with eight layer
polarized, impact resistant lenses and unique neoprene rubber strategically placed on the nose pads and temple
gloves — to provide a non-slip fit that's perfect for such a grueling event.
Team Semper Fi is competing this year to raise money for the Veterans of Valor Organization, a group that supports
service members wounded in the field of duty. Team Semper Fi's highly qualified team of three men and one woman
is ready to take on the incredible physical and mentally punishing challenges that this 10 day, 600 mile expedition
race throws at them. The original team finished the 2006 race in 44th place out of 90 teams (with 55 teams finishing),
and was the first all-military team to cross the finish line. As a result of its Herculean efforts, the team received two
distinctive honors — the Media Personality Award and the Eco Friendly Award.
“The whole reason we came to do this was to raise awareness for wounded veterans, and the experience is
phenomenal,” says Captain Brian Chontosh, USMC, and team Captain of Semper Fi. “It provides a near religious
sense of accomplishment and incredible bonds of teamwork. Wiley X is a great supporter of the military, and we've
worn their equipment on duty for years. They have a great reputation, a great product, and their core company
values are a perfect match for our “vision” and what we're hoping to achieve in this event.”
Simply finishing this incredibly taxing undertaking is an achievement beyond most folks' wildest dreams. Co-ed
teams of four experienced backcountry adventure athletes journey across rugged miles of terrain using only a map, a
compass and their team members' combined skills. The members of the team must travel together at all times and
must finish together in order to be officially ranked. Additionally, in accordance with the Adventure Racing Ecological
Standards publication from the United States Adventure Racing Association, all teams must follow environmental
guidelines — this includes only traveling where permitted, not building campfires and strictly adhering to the “pack it
in, pack it out” rule. Fans can follow the breath-taking action as it unfolds, as www.ecoprimalquest.com will have
live video, leaderboard stats and updates throughout the exciting event.
