Edwin Evers love for fishing started when caught his first fish, in first grade. Although fishing wasn’t a family hobby, his parents saw his drive and supported his passion in every way they could. Edwin credits the fishing magazines his parents bought him for being able to read. He started tournament fishing in seventh grade. He also won his first tournament that year. He knew then he wanted to fish professionally. And he did just that.
Edwin’s professional fishing record is impressive. He has won two world championships, 13 major career wins and 119 top 20 finishes. “If you have a dream, follow it.” Edwin says. “It’s all about work ethic and sacrifice. I try to work harder than anybody out there. I put everything into it. I’m too stubborn to quit. I’m going make myself succeed by willpower.” His relentless drive pays off.
Edwin is married and has a son and a daughter. He spends his free time with them floating down rivers, hunting, and camping. He also enjoys watching his son play basketball, football, and soccer. In addition to fishing, Edwin purchased and works on his pecan farm which he named Edwin Evers Pecans, he looks forward to passing down to his children and grandchildren in the future. He grew up on a small farm and wants them grandchildren to have share the same work ethic. Edwin plans to continue competing at the highest level possible and the further growth his successful YouTube channel, Project E.
