In 2007, a small operation with only two horses and four riders set out to create a place of healing for individuals with disabilities and those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship has since become a nationally recognized riding center that harnesses the healing powers of equine therapy.
Certified instructors and over 285 dedicated volunteers implement horse-centered programs developed to improve the lives of individuals living with disabilities. Therapy programs offered at ManeGait help children and adults with physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral disabilities achieve their goals inside and outside the arena. ManeGait also offers an equine therapy program dedicated to supporting the needs of veterans and first responders called ManeGait to Freedom.
