Warranty Policy

Sunglasses can be submitted for a warranty evaluation as long as they do not contain prescription lenses. Return the defective product to the address below:

We will replace the item as stated in our warranty policy upon inspection. Prescription lenses will be rejected and returned immediately, no exceptions.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your wileyx.com purchase, please contact our customer care team at (800) 776-7842 within 60 days so we can make it right. Once we receive your product, we will provide you with full credit within 10–15 business days. We are proud to say that we strive to provide the most premium products and we stand behind them. If you experience an issue with your product that is not considered normal wear and tear, Wiley X will warranty your item by repairing or replacing the product at no charge. Wiley X has the sole discretion to determine what is considered a manufacturing defect.

Complete the warranty & return request form by selecting the appropriate box/brand (WX, etc.), provide the model name along with an explanation of the issue. You’ll be required to upload an image of the damaged product.

You’ll receive a Return Authorization number (RMA/RA). Please write the RMA/RA number on the outside of the package and return to the address above using a traceable shipping method. Customers are responsible for shipping costs on all returns and or exchanges as Wiley X does not provide return shipping labels.

Please be sure to ship the package with a carrier that can provide a tracking number as Wiley X is not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged. Once the product is received, inspected and approved, we ask to allow 10–15 business days for processing.

Returned eyewear will be repaired or replaced at our option. Non-warranty repair services are available to our customers as it pertains to lenses or frames that are not covered under the terms of the warranty. We will email customers back with these options and costs should they wish to execute. Items not covered under terms of warranty or not repairable will be returned to the customer or destroyed at the customer’s discretion.

Product Warranty

NON-PRESCRIPTION WILEY X, INC. EYEWEAR: has a limited lifetime warranty covering any and all manufacturing defects in material and workmanship.

YOUTH FORCE® AND WORKSIGHT® EYEWEAR: is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 2 years.

NON-PRESCRIPTION JOHN DEERE® AND DVX™ EYEWEAR: is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 1 year. (John Deere® warranty applies to USA and Canada only).

PHOTOCHROMIC LIGHT ADJUSTING™ LENSES: are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 18 months (proof of purchase for Photochromic Light Adjusting™ lenses is required).

GLOVES: are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for a maximum period of 2 years.

SCOPE OF COVERAGE: Wiley X, Inc. will repair or replace covered items at our sole discretion, as needed and as available (identical or equivalent style) at no charge. Out of warranty items may be repaired (if repairable), replaced, returned or destroyed, at the option and sole expense of the purchaser.
EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does NOT extend to and excludes:

  1. any and all Wiley X products purchased through Amazon, eBay, or any non-authorized 3rd party websites, dealers or labs
  2. damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratched lenses and broken frames, hinges, and nose pieces
  3. damage resulting from abuse or misuse,
  4. damage resulting from tampering or customer modification
  5. damage resulting from exposure to harmful substances, elements or conditions
  6. other damage to covered items not resulting from a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship as Wiley X shall decide in its sole discretion, or
  7. lost or stolen items

Prescription Frame Warranty - 2 Years

Prescription Warranty

The following prescription (RX) warranty extends to Wiley X, Inc., DVX™, and John Deere® eyewear.

RX WARRANTY: Prescription orders processed through Wiley X, Inc. will have a two (2) year warranty from the date of purchase on frames and lenses deemed by Wiley X, Inc. to have manufacturing defects. Prescriptions filled by non-authorized labs will void all Wiley X, Inc. frame and lens warranties. Prescription frame and lens warranties must be handled through the local retailer / dispensing optician from which they were originally purchased.

CAPTIVATE/SCRATCH/COATING WARRANTY: Wiley X, Inc. will provide a one (1) time scratch redo for lenses with frontal surface scratches due to normal wear for one (1) year from the date of purchase. If a coating was purchased (anti-reflective, anti-scratch, anti-fog, or a mirror) the warranty is extended to a one (1) time redo within two (2) years from the date of purchase. The customer will receive eyewear in the identical form (same frame, lenses, prescription, etc.)

DOCTOR REMAKE: A one (1) time doctor remake on Wiley X, Inc. made prescription lenses is permitted within a forty-five (45) day period from the original order date. The dealer will be charged in full for the remake then will subsequently receive a credit when the original prescription glasses are returned to the Wiley X, Inc. Prescription Department. Original orders must be returned within thirty (30) days of the remake order. All doctor remakes will be billed a $10.00 shipping fee.

RX CHANGES/CANCELED ORDERS: If the lenses are not in process, prescription changes and order cancellations will be accepted at no charge. Any requests made after a customer order has been put in process will be charged at 50% of the dealer cost.

NON_ADAPTS: Dealer will have forty-five (45) days to return a prescription order that is deemed “non-adapt” by their customer. In this instance, the dealer will receive a full refund on the frame and 50% credit on the RX lenses and coatings. No credit or refund will be issued for non-adapts submitted after forty-five (45) days.
LAB ERRORS: In the event of lab error, prescription lenses will be replaced at no cost within a forty-five (45) day period of the original order date. Redo will be credited upon receipt of original frame and lenses.

PATIENT OWNED FRAME _POF_: Wiley X, Inc. accepts POF orders, however, frames must pass Wiley X, Inc. quality inspection. Prior to sending the POF, please verify that the prescription and the measurements are within the tolerance of the Wiley X, Inc. RX Frame Parameters. Please remove any existing prescription or non-prescription lenses from the frame prior to shipping. Wiley X, Inc. will not provide any warranty or be held responsible for any lost or damaged lenses on previous prescriptions sent in with a frame.

DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS: Wiley X, Inc. will not RX frames that have been discontinued for longer than six (6) months.

SHIPPING: Please package your POF and/or return product securely and use a traceable carrier. Wiley X, Inc. is not responsible for packages lost or damaged during transit caused by carrier or any outside factor.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of a high wrapped frame and in order to achieve superior optical quality, prescription lenses will be compensated accordingly with the consideration of wrap angle, tilt, and vertex distance to be customized to fit your customer’s vision needs. This may result in prescription power deferential from the one your eye care professional has prescribed. Please do not hesitate to call the Wiley X, Inc.
